Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can my delivery be customized?
A. Deliveries can be partially customized using a subscriber preference survey
on which particular vegetables can be rated (favorite to least favorite).
Subscribers can receive a weekly e-mail detailing what we expect to be
harvesting and purchasing that week and may send a reply detailing their
preferences for the week. Annual surveys are done prior to planning crops.
Comments or special requests are always welcomed.
Our weekly deliveries include a pick sheet that provides information
on crops being harvested and coming up, coordinating recipes, preparation
and storage tips and garden news.
Q. What sizes are available?
Standard Coolers:
Regular: Provides six to ten varieties of vegetables and herbs and is
usually enough for an omnivorous couple and perhaps their
children. Organic fruit baskets can be ordered separately
or substituted for a vegetable selection.
Large: Provides seven to twelve varieties of vegetables and herbs and
is usually enough for an omnivorous family or vegetarian
couple. Organic fruit baskets can be ordered separately
or substituted for a vegetable selection.
Single: Provides smaller amounts of eight to twelve varieties of
vegetables, herbs and seasonal organic fruit and is usually
enough for one omnivorous individual or perhaps a couple who
eat at home only on the weekend.
There are no guarantees of exact quantities of produce, as gardening
and farming is affected by natural variables beyond the control of the
gardener(s).The number of persons a size will provide for are approximate
because of the aforementioned and as the amount of fresh vegetables
consumed by individuals varies tremendously.
